About

Mawpid-img_20151001_135213.jpgd Rabbits is a small but growing intersectional animal rights movement dedicated to the abolition of the use of animals for food, clothing, and entertainment. We believe that animals are not here for us to use for food, fashion, or entertainment, abuse or otherwise exploit in any way and aim to spread our views in hopes of saving animals from these torturous industries while simultaneously fighting for people of color that are hurt by these industries as well as other victims of environmental racism/destruction.

What is our goal?

Our goal is to help create a world that is safe for everything that lives. We believe veganism and activism is the way to achieve this goal and will continue to fight for it through hard hitting, well put together information, protests and other means of bringing attention to our movement.

What do we believe in?

Equal rights are our core values. Liberation for not only animals but the LGBTQAI+ community, women, people of color, and every other oppressed group. We pride ourselves on intersectionality.

F.A.Q

What is animal rights?

Animal rights is the belief that animals should be able to live free from any service to humans including medical research, food, entertainment, and fashion.

Why should animals have rights?

Because every sentient being should have rights. Animals used in these industries can feel joy and pain and they want to live just as much as any other companion animal! There’s no reason to withhold their rights, so why should we?

What is Veganism?

Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose.

Do you have to be Vegan to believe in animal rights?

Yes. Why? Because the use of any animal products violates their most basic right to live. The belief that it is morally just to use animals as long as it is convenient for us is Animal Welfare, which exploits animals.

Why else should I go Vegan?

Besides to do right by animals, to help the environment stop the funding of irreversible climate change that even humans are suffering from, Social Justice, and personal health all listed and explained here

How can I go vegan?

Going vegan isn’t as hard as it’s made out to be! A good rule of thumb is to replace your meat with lentils. You should add more dried pasta, rice, potatoes, frozen veggies, and fruit to your diet. There are a lot of other resources on going vegan especially for people who have situations that may make it a little harder- we have a vegan pledge and a guide to going vegan here.
