1 cup warm water
1 flax egg (1 tsp ground flax seed + 3 tsp water; beat until egg-like)*
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 C)
Line cookie sheet with parchment paper or foil
Combine whole wheat flour and baking powder
Add in warm water, flax egg, and peanut butter
Mix until ingredients are evenly distributed
Place dough on counter and roll dough out with a rolling pin
Cut dough out with cookie cutters, I used a dog bone shape
Place on your cookie sheet and bake until lightly browned
This recipe makes about 30 medium sized treats and they only last for about 5 days because there are no preservatives so freeze the ones that won’t be eaten immediately!
*flax seed is great for dogs because it is a fantastic source of omega-3 fatty acids which are great for their coats and they are a good source of fiber
